Postponed due to entertainment

"Postponed due to entertainment" is a visual research into the different ideas and effects of hedonism. The research was presented in two exibihitions in both sculpture and illustration.

"Let thy desire flourish,
In order to let thy heart forget the beatifications for thee.
Follow thy desire, as long as thou shalt live.
Put myrrh upon thy head and clothing of fine linen upon thee,
Being anointed with genuine marvels of the gods' property.
Set an increase to thy good things;
Let not thy heart flag.
Follow thy desire and thy good.
Fulfill thy needs upon earth, after the command of thy heart,
Until there come for thee that day of mourning."

- A song attributed to the reign of the pharaohs around the time of the 12th dynasty

Just before the nightmare

Moments before having a nightmare induced by fever, there are spots floating before your eye's. It is not before long they come at you and start the horrible dreaming.

"So on his Nightmare through the evening fog
Flits the squab Fiend o'er fen, and lake, and bog;
Seeks some love-wilder'd maid with sleep oppress'd,
Alights, and grinning sits upon her breast."

The nightmare series

As a kid, I had many vivid dreams of strange creatures. By doing visual research on these dreams I created a series of sculptures in an attempt to make them more tangible.
